A new study shows that people can eat potatoes but still slim down." Potatoes, Index list, and Weight reduction in Free-Living Individuals: Practical 

Implications" is now available through free access in the Journal from the American College of Nutrition, the official publication from the 2X Powerful Slimming American College
of Nutrition along with a publication from Routledge.

The research, a collaborative effort between the University of California at Davis and the Illinois Institute of Technology, sought to achieve a much better
knowledge of the role of calorie reduction and also the index list in weight reduction when potatoes are included in the diet. "Some people have questioned
the function of potatoes inside a weight loss regimen because of the vegetable's designation like a high glycemic index food," explained Dr. Britt Burton-
Freeman, PhD, charge investigator of the study. "However, the outcomes of the study confirm what health professionals and health professionals have said for

Ninety overweight men and women were randomly assigned to one of three groups: (1) reduced calorie/high GI, (2) reduced calorie/low GI, (3) control group
with no calorie or GI restrictions. All three groups were provided potatoes, healthful recipes and instructions to eat 5-7 areas of potatoes each week. At
the end of the 12-week study period, they found that the 3 groups had lost weight and there was no factor in weight reduction between the groups.
"There is no evidence that potatoes, when prepared inside a healthful manner, contribute to putting on weight. Actually, there has been that they can
participate a diet program," said Burton-Freeman.
Interestingly, even the control group reduced their calorie intake and dropped a few pounds despite not provided with a specific calorie restriction. "The
fact that all groups, the control group, dropped a few pounds is really a curious finding and offers cause for future research," said co-investigator Dr.
Tissa Kappagoda, MD, PhD. The study answers are great news for potato lovers and any consumer who craves the satisfaction of wholesome yet 3x Slimming Power healthy meal
options. One medium-size (5.3 ounce) skin-on potato contains just 110 calories per serving, boasts more potassium (620g) than a banana, provides almost half
